Halloween Happies

It's a bit dreary and cold outside, so here are some little ideas to brighten your day. No tricks, just treats!

Looking for a homemade Halloween sweet? Try these white chocolate lollipops, courtesy of a clever and creative blog from three sisters, called Roots and Wings.

Need to warm up, but don't want to spend the time and/or money on a Starbucks run? Try this recipe for homemade pumpkin spice lattes (she uses a crockpot, which would make these an ideal drink option for a party) or just cheat like I do and buy the Pumpkin Pie Spice creamer.

Speaking of great party ideas, look at this fancy-schmancy version of pigs in a blanket from Ladies Home Journal. It's the culinary equivalent of pigs in a cashmere blanket.

And check out these cute little ghosts, courtesy of this terrific blog. She's made them available as a free download, so you can get all crafty with them. Have fun!

  1. Great ideas! You can also use bread stick dough and hot dogs to make mummies, just another twist on pigs in a blanket...
