Christmas craft with the kids: Make your own Wrapping Paper!

An easy and fun way to get your Moppet excited about giving gifts (and not just receiving them) is to have them help with the wrapping.  If your child loves to paint they will enjoy making their own one-of-a-kind wrapping paper.  Grab a large sheet of paper, break out the poster paints and let them get creative.  You can give them brushes, sponges, even small cutting from your Christmas tree to dip in the paint and make interesting patterns.

We used newsprint paper which is a nice, not-too-thick paper.  After their papers dried I let them tape while I wrapped the gift.  They each chose a bow and a gift tag and then we were done!  If you try this activity with your kids we would love to see your results over on our facebook group!
