- Our MOPS Bible study begins on Tuesday, January 10th. We will be reading a book on parenting and watching an accompanying DVD. The study meets on Tuesdays at 9:30am at First Baptist Church. Childcare is provided, but pre-registration is necessary. You can register for the study online here. The childcare registration form can be found online here. You will need to fill out the childcare form once per child. We would love to have you join us!
- If your childcare needs will be changing for the Spring 2012 MOPS meetings please let your table leader know as soon as possible. We want to use any extra spots for our waiting list mommies.
- February 9th is "Bring Your Hubby to MOPS Day". Let your darling husband know now so he can make plans to be there. Be sure to tell him that a delicious breakfast will be provided!
- Our next MOPS meeting will be on Thursday, January 12th. We will have a fitness guru (and fellow mom) give us tips on getting and staying in shape and achieving a healthy lifestyle. Our meeting on January 26th will feature our Mentoring Mom panel discussion. Be thinking of questions for these wise women!
- If you would like to volunteer for the Hope Community Center's annual clothing giveaway please contact Marianne T. at tolley31@msn.com. Volunteers are needed Friday, Dec. 16 from 3pm until 11pm, and Saturday Dec. 17 from 6am until 3pm at Venable Elementary School. Food and refreshments will be provided.
As a thank you for all of the hard work she does organizing and planning for MOPS, our Coordinator Lauren B. was presented with a gift card to a spa. Thank you so much for all you do for us Lauren!
Our door-prize winners today: Cara B. and Felicia W. won stamp sets. Amber B., Emily K., and Emily B. received MOPS cookbooks.
Finally, today we had a Christmas craft - making beautiful stamped gift tags. Melissa R. coordinated our craft, providing us with stamps, paper punches, ribbon, and other embellishments. There were some really beautiful and creative tags out there today. Thanks so much Melissa for putting this together and we hope you feel better soon!
We also provided Christmas gift bags to our wonderful Moppets childcare workers today. Thanks so much to these devoted women who look after our little ones - we couldn't do this without you.
Thanks everyone for another great meeting. Have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year! See you in 2012 for our next meeting!
