Mark Your Calendar!

Isn't Fall a wonderful time of year?  It's honestly the main thing that makes me happy we don't live in Texas any more, since Houston has Fall around February and it lasts maybe a week.

Aside from the cooler weather and beautiful color, Fall also brings great opportunities for family outings.  Here is a look at what MOPS has planned in the coming weeks.

The next group outing will be a family event at the Greenfield Fall Fest on Saturday, Oct. 27. Bring your hubby and all the kids for a fun afternoon wandering the corn maze, playing on hay bales and petting farm animals. Meet at 11 a.m. and bring a picnic lunch. Cost is $6 a person and children under 2 are free.

ECDC, First Baptist Church's preschool, is having its annual fundraiser that can help you knock off some people from your Christmas list. Turn a piece of your children's art work into a mug, plate, note cards, etc. Packets are available at the church and you can turn in your work and order forms at t
he next MOPS meeting.

Dress up the kids in their Halloween costumes and give residents of The Laurels a thrill. Children can trick-or-treat at the nursing home which is something the residents there always enjoy. Mark your calendar for 3 p.m., Monday, Oct. 29. No scary costumes, please.

Covenant Church will host its annual Fall Festival from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 28. Covenant is located off of Rio Road. There will be treats and games for kids of all ages.

Former MOPS mom and MOPPETs worker Leah Foresberg would love to babysit your kids. Contact her next time you need a sitter.
