At our final meeting for 2012-2013 we heard testimony from some of our own MOPS moms, and bid a fond farewell to several ladies who will be moving on. But first, a few announcements.
- A weekly Prayer Group will be starting up on Wednesday, June 12th. This
summer the focus will be on prayer journals. To that end, there will
be a speaker at the first meeting to give you insights on starting and
maintaining a prayer journal. Even you unfamiliar with prayer this is a wonderful group of women and a great way to "branch out" and connect over the summer. Look for email in the future with more
info, or contact Mere Curs.
- Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Park Street will be held the week
of July 8th. Children must be 4 years old by Sept. 30th, 2013 through
completed 7th grade to participate...unless you volunteer! The younger
children of volunteers are welcome to participate. Volunteering
requires one training session; click here for more information and to register.
- Don't forget to register for next year's MOPS! Click here for more information.
Our meeting began with a delicious breakfast, and then we heard from a few of our moms, including Mundy, who told us how God has gotten her through some tough trials over the past few months. We also heard from Lindsey, who is trusting the Lord during a move up to northern Virginia. We then heard from Amy P., Marianne T., and Kathy F., and several other women who shared their heart with us. Thanks so much to each person who spoke at the meeting; you all were such a tremendous blessing!

Steering Committee |
We also recognized our May birthdays and those of us who will be moving on over the summer. We will miss you all so much! Finally we recognized our Steering Committee, Table Leaders, Childcare workers and Coordinators, Mentoring Moms, and last but certainly not least, our Coordinator Lauren. Lauren was presented with a spa gift certificate so she can get some relaxation after all of her hard work this past year. Many thanks to all those who made this such a wonderful year of MOPS! See you in September!
