After a delicious breakfast, we started the meeting with a few announcements:
- Friday, Dec. 6th is Mom's Night Out - Craft Night! Bring a craft or even wrap your Christmas presents in peaceful bliss at FBC. Contact Amber Young for more information.
- At the next meeting on Dec. 12th:
- Bring a wrapped ornament if you'd like to participate in the annual ornament exchange
- We will collect and distribute any Christmas gifts/cards that you'd like to give to the MOPPET worker(s) that care for your child(ren)
- If you participated in the S.H.E. Adopt-A-Family program, please bring your wrapped gift with you. To make arrangements for pickup of any gifts that cannot be brought to the meeting, please contact Cari Brown.
- We will again be partnering with Young Lives to provide the food for their Christmas party to be held on Monday, Dec. 16th at City Church (formerly CFA) on Rio Road. Food can be dropped off between 5-6pm. Contact your table leader for more information and to sign-up.
- Please continue to keep Mundy Richards and her family in your prayers. Please see your email for the latest updates and specific prayer requests.
- Be sure to speak to Beate T. and give her a hug, as this will be one of her last MOPS meetings before she and her family move to Germany! Good luck and best wishes to this sweet mama. Maybe we'll have a sister chapter of MOPS in Germany?!
Finally, it was time to shop! The Mom's Market featured wonderful hand-made items such as scarves, baby blankets, bags, jewelry, hair clips, wreaths, kitchen linens, and original artwork; and also included a nice selection of pampering items for moms, books & games for kids, and gift ideas for all ages. A huge THANK YOU goes out to everyone that participated in the Mom's Market... we hope you had some fun and were able to get some Christmas gifts (and some things for yourself!) checked off your list!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and we hope to see you at the next meeting on Dec. 12th!
